Our Design Philosophy
At Annie de Castro Design Group, we believe great design is less about following trends and more about telling your story through space. Our work is rooted in the idea that homes should feel lived in, layered, and deeply personal — never over-styled or out of touch.
We strive to meet each client exactly where they are — in life, in budget, and in aesthetic. From there, we guide them through a collaborative and thoughtful design process that balances everyday practicality with elevated, lasting beauty. Whether it’s a single-room refresh or a full-home transformation, we approach every project with clarity, creativity, and care.
Our team blends vintage character, modern comforts, and timeless craftsmanship to curate spaces that feel collected over time. We seek out the new generation of heirlooms — pieces with presence and purpose — so that the homes we design not only reflect the people who live in them today, but continue to grow with them for years to come.
Get to know the people behind the process.

Owner & Design PrincipleAnnie is a Boston based interior designer with roots in the furniture retail and product development industry.
Annie loves to work closely with clients to understand their pain points and vision for their home, even when articulating that vision is a challenge for them. Helping each client by providing design solutions that suit their unique lifestyle and goals has become the driving force behind her design work.
Annie has a BA in Fine Arts from CSUF in California, and a Fashion Merchandising and Marketing degree from The New School, NYC. She has worked professionally over the last 10 years in furniture buying, product development, and visual merchandising for international home interior brands.
Originally from a small town in central California, her sense of adventure and desire to experience the world beyond led her to live in numerous cities around the globe. As a young adult, she relocated as far as Recife in Brazil, then on to London, and eventually to Boston where she settled with her husband. Annie especially loves design work that allows her to connect with people from other backgrounds and find opportunities to leverage cultural heritage as inspiration in the design process.
